(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Earlier reports today of "hostage-taking" in the Belgian city of Ghent has turned out to be nothing more than a than a false alarm.
Ghent judicial authorities told reporters that the she story told by an 18-year-old man that his friend was being held hostage by four armed men was false.
The 18-year-old is an illegal immigrant and drug-user. An investigation has been launched into whether he was under the influence of drugs when he made up the "hostage-taking" story.
