From November 1, 2024, to May 11, 2025, the renowned Italian monumental sculptor Lorenzo Quinn will showcase his art pieces at the Heydar Aliyev Center, Azernews reports.

The timing of the exhibition is not coincidental, as it coincides with the 29th session of the conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework convention on Climate Change, which will be held in Baku.

The exhibition titled "Equilibrium" aims to draw attention to environmental issues once again. The concept of the Baku exhibition focuses on the understanding of the environment, caring for nature, and depicting the power of nature and its inexhaustibility.

Quinn's works will be presented in the park and foyer of the Heydar Aliyev Center. Visitors to the Baku exhibition will have the opportunity to explore works such as "Eros," "Together," "Parallel Universe," "Force of Nature," "Love Yourself," "Balanced World," and others.

One of the standout pieces among the exhibits is the sculpture "Hand of God," which is considered one of the artist's masterpieces. In this work, a twisted, naked figure sits in a giant open hand, exhausted and with its arms hanging down. Lorenzo dedicated this piece to his son. "Hand of God" draws attention to the dangers children face in real life. This hand later became a central element in Quinn's other monumental works, symbolizing love, hate, the feeling of creation, and the power to destroy.

Another work brought to Baku by Quinn is titled "Together." This composition was notably displayed in Giza, allowing modern art to be showcased near the pyramids for the first time. This monumental piece was presented to art lovers in Cannes in 2021 and in Dubai in 2023. Now, it will be part of the Baku exhibition for six months in the Heydar Aliyev Center's park. The work illustrates hands, which are how humans can create and destroy. Through this, the artist expresses his belief that everything is in our hands.

Another piece that will beautify the Baku exhibition is "Force of Nature." This work embodies a fragile yet incredibly powerful female figure, representing Mother Nature herself.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to admire Lorenzo Quinn's work "Give and Take" in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center. With this piece, the sculptor emphasizes the importance of balance in life and nature.

Lorenzo Quinn was born into the family of Oscar-winning actor Anthony Quinn and clothing designer and actress Iolanda Addolorina. He studied at the Art Academy in New York. Although he initially planned to become a painter, he decided to dedicate himself to sculpture to better express his energy and original ideas. Lorenzo Quinn is also known for taking roles in films and carving a niche as an actor.

Recognized as the "creator of feelings" and "the painter of emotions," Lorenzo is one of the most sought-after sculptors in recent times. His works convey messages of peace, harmony, and the idea that "creating or destroying is solely our choice." His art reflects the balance of the positive and negative aspects of human nature.
