Pakistan Hops On Bandwagon Of Multimodal Corridor Via Uzbekistan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 19. Pakistan has officially joined the establishment of a multimodal corridor through Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbekistan's Ministry of Transport.

Pakistan has signed a memorandum of understanding in line with international cooperation on transport and logistics projects, aimed at creating and developing the international transport corridor "Belarus - Russia - Kazakhstan - Uzbekistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan - Indian Ocean ports."

This multimodal transport corridor is a game changer for Central and South Asian countries, paving the way for new opportunities and connections, and is designed to bridge the gap between Northern and Southern Eurasia, giving landlocked nations like Uzbekistan a leg up by opening the door to the ports of the Indian Ocean.
