Uzbekistan And Kazakhstan To Launch Satellites Into Space


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 4, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are planning a joint launch of artificial satellites for the purpose of studying and analyzing data, Trend reports.

On September 2-3, 2024, a delegation of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan visited Astana to participate in the "Ministerial conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation in Asia and the Pacific", organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

As part of the event, Minister Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Zhaslan Madiyev.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation, paying particular attention to digital skills training, the state of regional cooperation in the field of digital inclusion and transformation, as well as opportunities for strengthening it.

In addition, the issue of developing joint regional cooperation plans to accelerate digital innovation was discussed.

The possibility of cooperation between the two countries in launching mutual constellations of artificial satellites for the purpose of studying and analyzing data was also discussed, with proposals to be prepared by the end of this year.
