Kazakhstan, Saudi Fund For Development Discuss Investment Co-Op


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 27. Kazakhstan and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) have discussed prospects for further development of investment and economic cooperation, Trend reports.

Discussions were held between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia Madiyar Menilbekov and the CEO of SFD Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad.

The parties also considered developing Islamic finance and implementing joint infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan.

Menilbekov informed the interlocutor about the key directions of Kazakhstan's comprehensive internal Political and socio-economic modernization.

The ambassador also invited Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Nurlan Baibazarov, the head of the SFD to participate in the round table of the Arab Coordination Group, which will be held in early September 2024 in Astana.

The Saudi Fund for Development is one of the largest financial institutions in Saudi Arabia, through whose finances a number of important infrastructure projects were implemented in Kazakhstan, including the construction of the Astana-Karaganda highway.
