Qatar’s real estate sector signs agreements valued at QR1B last months


(MENAFN) In June 2024, Qatar's Real estate market displayed notable activity, recording transactions totaling QR1.118 billion, as reported by the Ministry of Justice's Real Estate Registration Department. This figure was the culmination of 285 real estate deals throughout the month. Comparatively, the real estate transactions index experienced an 11 percent decline from May 2024, paralleled by an 11 percent decrease in transaction values. However, there was an encouraging 8 percent rise in the total area of real estate traded.

Leading the charge in terms of financial value were the municipalities of Al Rayyan, Al Dhaayen, and Doha. Al Rayyan secured the top spot with transactions amounting to QR358 million, closely followed by Al Dhaayen at QR290 million, and Doha at QR288 million.

In terms of traded area, Al Rayyan, Doha, and Al Dhaayen continued to dominate, accounting for 40 percent, 24 percent, and 17 percent of the total transaction area, respectively, in June.

The highest number of properties sold in a single transaction during the month was 10, with Al Dhaayen leading with six properties, followed by three in Al Rayyan and one in Umm Salal.

Mortgage transactions were also significant contributors to the market dynamics, totaling 78 transactions amounting to QR4.58 billion in June 2024, underscoring continued robust activity in Qatar's real estate sector.
