Uzbekistan Lays Out Inter-CIS Trade Turnover Volume In 3M2024


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 27. Uzbekistan'svolume of foreign trade turnover with CIS countries reached $5billion in the first quarter of 2024, Trend reports.

According to data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, thecountry's foreign trade transactions with CIS nations climbed by6.3 percent during the first quarter of 2023.

From January to March 2024, exports totaled $1.7 billion, whileimports were $3.3 billion.

Uzbekistan's highest international commercial turnover among CIScountries was with Russia (54.9 percent), Kazakhstan (18.4percent), and Turkmenistan (4.6 percent).

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's share of foreign trade turnover with CIScountries increased by 0.2 percent from January through February2024 (to 32.9 percent) year-on-year.

The country's volume of foreign trade turnover with CIScountries reached $3.2 billion from January through February 2024 amounted to $1 billion, while imports were $2.1 billionduring this period.
