(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, April 25. The EuropeanBank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is ready to providefinancing to Tajikistan across all priority areas, including theinstallation of solar panels, said Holger Wiefel, the Head ofTajikistan for EBRD, Trend reports.
According to the authorities of the Sughd region, he made thestatement during a meeting with the Chairman of the Sughd region,Rajabboy Ahmadzoda.
Wiefel also mentioned that the implementation of projects forinstalling heating systems, as well as the modernization andinstallation of electrical substations, is highly necessary andbeneficial.
The current project portfolio of the EBRD in Tajikistan amountedto 507 million euros as of February 29, 2024, for the completion of72 active projects. As of the end of February, the EBRD'scumulative investments in Tajikistan totaled 946 million euros,spread across 168 projects.
In 2020, the EBRD invested 131 million euros in Tajikistan'sprojects, followed by 56 million euros in 2021 and 21 million eurosboth in 2022 and 2023.
