Kyrgyzstan's Oil Product Imports From EAEU Skyrocket


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 15. Kyrgyzstanimported 69,367 tons of oil products from the countries of theEurasian Economic Union in January 2024, which is a fourfoldincrease compared to 16,940 tons in January 2023, Trend reports.

According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, thevalue of these imports amounted to $49.502 million, which is 3.2times higher than the $15.141 million recorded in the same month of2023.

In total, Kyrgyzstan imported 70,500 tons of oil products inJanuary. Thus, the countries of the EAEU accounted for 98 percentof Kyrgyzstan's oil product imports.

In January 2024, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with the EAEUamounted to $278.3 million, which is a 4-percent decrease comparedto January 2023. Kyrgyzstan's exports to the EAEU totaled $50.081million, while imports reached $228.239 million.
