Kuwaiti Mps Highlight Israel's Blatant Violations Against Palestinians In Gaza


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ROME, Oct 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's delegation of the second parliamentary friendship committee at the National Assembly has shed light on the Israeli occupation's blatant violations against Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
This came during a meeting held between the delegation led by MP Mohammad Al-Huwaila and Vice President of Italy's House of Deputies Giorgio Mule late Wednesday.
The Kuwaiti delegation noted that the Israeli occupation forces crimes of killing, destruction and a genocidal war against Palestinians violate the international humanitarian law, Al-Huwaila said in a statement to KUNA.
He that they called on the Italian side to stand with the innocent, and to " press the Zionist entity" in order to halt military operations and provide safe passages for humanitarian relief convoys to help the defenseless people of Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti side also focused, during the talks, on the Iraqi court canceling the Khor Abdullah agreement signed by the governments of Kuwait and Iraq.
The agreement has been ratified by the countries' parliaments and submitted to with the United Nations, he said, noting that this measure has negative ramifications.
He noted that the delegation appealed to Italy to stand by Kuwait's right and press Iraq to be committed to the agreement and not to take any unilateral measure regarding it.
Al-Huwaila said that the visit of the delegation to Rome came within the activity of the Italian-Kuwaiti parliamentary friendship committee that witnessed positive atmospheres.
The delegation, which included MPs Fares Al-Otaibi, Bader Al-Shammari and Bader Al-Enzi, in the presence of Kuwait's Ambassador to Italy Nasser Al-Qahtani, met also some senior lawmakers in Italy. (end)
