Russia, former Soviet Union: Kremlin Denies Putin Body-Double allegations, health rumors

(MENAFN) The Kremlin has strongly refuted claims suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin uses body doubles for public appearances, and has emphasized that he is in good health. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov dismissed such reports, labeling them as baseless as well as absurd information. He further assured that Russian President Putin is in excellent condition.

Recent allegations regarding Russian President Putin's health as well as the use of body doubles have circulated in some Western media outlets. One report from The Mirror, citing an anonymous Russian Telegram channel, claimed that Putin experienced a cardiac incident and needed resuscitation. However, it should be noted that the Telegram channel in question has not provided concrete evidence for such claims.

The Mirror also referenced a Japanese TV report that used artificial intelligence to analyze President Putin's facial features, gait, as well as voice across multiple appearances, suggesting the existence of doppelgangers. Similar assertions have been made by Kirill Budanov, the head of Ukraine's intelligence service, in recent months. Despite these speculations, the Kremlin maintains that there is no truth to the allegations of body doubles or serious health issues concerning Russian President Putin.
