Exhumation Of Victim Of Us Invasion Of Panama


(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) Personnel from the homicide and Femicide Discharge Prosecutor's Office carried out an exhumation in the Amador cemetery, on Friday, August 11 to locate a victim of the United States invasion of Panama in 1989.

According to the Attorney General's Office, the exhumation was carried out with the support of the staff of the Institute of legal medicine and Forensic Sciences (Imelcf) of Panama.

The exhumation of the skeletal remains is to locate a possible relative of one of the victims of the US invasion of Panama that occurred on December 20, 1989. With this expertise, according to the Prosecutor's Office, they seek to collate information to achieve their full identification. Previously, this type of investigation had been carried out in the Jardín de Paz and Monte Esperanza cemeteries, in the province of Colón.
