Ukrainian Air Defenses Intercept 37 Enemy Missiles, Drones Overnight

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukraine's defense forces destroyed 37 Russian missiles and drones on the night of July 18 to July 19. The Ukrainian Air Force said this in a post on telegram , according to Ukrinform.
"On the night of July 19, 2023, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine from the south, using air-, land- and sea-based cruise missiles, as well as Iranian-made attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type," the post reads.

During several waves of attacks, the enemy used 16 Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles, likely launched from the Ingushetia small missile ship and the Admiral Essen frigate in the Black Sea, eight Kh-22 cruise missiles fired from Tu-22M3 aircraft in the Black Sea, six Oniks cruise missiles launched from the Bastion coastal missile system in Crimea, a Kh-59 guided missile fired from a Su-35 fighter aircraft in the Black Sea, and 32 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs launched from the Chauda range (Crimea) and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Rostov Region).
Ukraine's air defense forces intercepted 37 missiles and drones, including 13 Kalibr cruise missiles, a Kh-59 guided missile, and 23 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs, the Ukrainian Air Force said.
The Kh-22 and Oniks missile strikes targeted the infrastructure of the Odesa region. Local military administrations will report on the consequences of these strikes and casualties.
Today and yesterday, Ukrainian Air Force aircraft launched more than 20 airstrikes against objects, areas of concentration of equipment and personnel of the Russian invaders.
