Cadenza Contemporary Orchestra will hold a season closing
concert in Baku.
The concert program "Song without words" will take place at the
State Philharmonic Hall on July 18, Azernews reports.
As part of the concert, Vafa Kuznetsova (violin), Togrul
Abdullayev (violin), Sanuber Sultanova (cello), Mirkhalid
Mammadzade (flute), Rena Ragimova (viola) will perform Antonio
Vivaldi's "Concerto a-moll for two violins", Felix
Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's "Song without Words", Cecile Chaminade's
"Concertino for Flute" and Gara Garayev's "Journey" from Don
Quixote (Symphonic Engravings).
Afag Khaganigizi's "Flower Etobur before Vibration", who is the
winner of the project "Second Recitation Workshop: Challenge for
Scores" will also be performed at the concert.
The musical work is dedicated to the memory of people who lost
their lives during the earthquake in Turkiye.
Since 2016, the Cadenza Contemporary Orchestra has been actively
participating in both local and international festivals.
The orchestra aims at preserving the traditions of modern
musical performance in Azerbaijan and developing the traditions of
modern musical ensembles created in the country.
The artistic director of the orchestra is the composer Turkar
Gasimzada. Entrance to the concert is free.
