(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The defense forces of Ukraine move forward in some directions and defend their positions and resist the assaults of the Russian invaders in others. Ukrainian service members don't have any combat positions lost, only liberated ones.

"Staff meeting. First of all, front-line, specific issues of the offensive [were discussed]. There were reports by commanders directly from the directions of the battles. Also, the reports by the Commander-in-Chief, the chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence [were heard]," President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening address to the nation.

Zelensky emphasized that the training and equipment provision to new brigades of the National Guard and border guards, which are "waiting for their time in combat operations," were discussed in detail at the Staff meeting.

In addition, the Head of State informed that the Ukrainian troops move forward in some directions and defend their positions, resist the assaults and intensified attacks of the occupiers in others.

"We have no positions lost. Only liberated. They have only losses. And in general, it is a situation of pressure, our pressure, which makes it possible to pave the way for our flag," Zelensky added.

At the same time, he thanked the Ukrainian soldiers involved in active offensive and defensive operations.

"I thank you for each freed and for each defended position!" the President summed up.

As reported, the Ukrainian military liberated eight settlements, including Pyatykhatky over the two weeks of offensive operations in Berdiansk and Melitopol directions.
