Amir, President Of Uzbekistan Tour City Of Samarkand

Samarkand: The Amir HH sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan HE Shavkat Mirziyoyev toured on Monday evening a number of museums and historical sites in the city of Samarkand.
During the tour, His Highness and HE the Uzbek President listened to an explanation about the history of the Observatory of Ulugbek and its role in the development of astronomical sciences among Muslims.
During their visit to the Afrasiyab Museum, they were briefed on the most prominent archaeological holdings and artifacts, which document the most important historical highlights of the city of Samarkand, and the various archaeological areas of Uzbekistan.
Also, HH the Amir and HE the Uzbek President visited Registan Square and listened to an explanation about the history of civilization and Islamic and experimental sciences in and around Samarkand, and concluded their tour with a visit to the Eternal City, where they were briefed on the most prominent customs and heritage traditions that the Uzbek people adhere to since ancient times.
During the tour, HH the Amir was accompanied by a number of Their Excellencies members of the accompanying official delegation.
