Doha, Qatar: The AMU Alumni Qatar hosted a felicitation event and award ceremony recently to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of students from Grades 9-12 in various academic disciplines.
The chief guests for the evening were the esteemed Asna Nafees, Principal DPS-MIS and RJ of FM 107, Obaid Tahir.
The felicitation event witnessed a gathering of prominent personalities, educators, parents, and students who eagerly awaited the recognition of exceptional talent. The evening commenced with a warm welcome address by Nuzhat Parveen of AMU Alumni Qatar, expressing gratitude to the guests and participants for their presence.
Asna Nafees shared her invaluable insights on nurturing talent, inspiring students to dream big, and pursuing their passions while RJ Obaid Tahir, known for his charismatic presence and engaging radio shows for public & kids, enthralled the audience with his wit and humor. He interacted with the students, sharing motivational anecdotes and encouraging them to continue their pursuit of excellence.
Besides the keynote speeches by guests, one of our grand parents Shahida Rasheed Sherwani spoke to the students on importance of education, consistency, perseverance & discipline, her motivating speech was heavily applauded.
The event featured a captivating panel discussion on the importance of education and its impact on the personal and professional growth of students. Moderated by Nazia Ahamad of FM 107 fame. Where role models from varied disciplines participated notable were Abdul Aziz an Engineer turned YouTuber and Noorine Jaffery a budding Ophthalmologist who is currently pursuing her bachelors at Univ of Toronto.
The highlight of the evening was the award ceremony, where students with exceptional performances were honored for their remarkable achievements.
A total of 45 students were presented with certificates of recognition, acknowledging their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance in their respective disciplines.
The AMU Alumni Qatar extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the awardees, recognizing their commitment to excellence and their exceptional contributions to their respective fields. The event aimed to inspire and motivate students to pursue their dreams, emphasizing the importance of a well-rounded education.
