(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ADEN, May 23 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni government warned Tuesday international companies against dealing with Houthi militias, as they do not have any constitutional right to put the country's properties and wealth under their disposal.
This came in a statement made by Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani, Yemen's news agency (Saba) reported.
The statement came a day after a Chinese private-sector company announced the cancellation of a deal it signed a few days ago with parties linked to the Houthis to invest in the oil sector.
The cancellation of this deal is a strong blow to the Houthi militias, he said, adding that they try to show false victories to mislead their members that they have taken de facto control of the areas under their fist.
He went to say that Houthis are "terrorist" militias, which do not have any popular acceptance, and live at a state of external and internal isolation.
The minister extolled China's stance, which firmly supports the legitimate government, and security, stability and territorial integrity of Yemen.
On Monday, China's Anton oil company declared the cancellation of a memo it signed with the so-called Houthi ministry of oil. (end)
