Minister Of Environment And Climate Change Urges Protection Of Local Biodiversity

Doha: Minister of Environment and Climate Change HE sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al-Thani stressed the importance of promoting a culture of conserving energy and biodiversity, highlighting Qatar's rich and diverse environment.

HE the Minister was speaking during his inauguration of an exhibition titled Brooq - Arts and the Environment, organized by Al Hosh gallery in Zekreet desert on February 26. His Excellency said that the event is a new type of modern local art that aims to promote the local environment, and contributes greatly to the public and visitors' knowledge of the great biodiversity available in the Qatari local environment, pointing out that the event contains many distinguished works of art that contribute to spreading the idea of sustainability environmental.

His Excellency called on the public and citizens to visit the exhibition as it contains all the services within creative ideas, pointing out that the ministry, by carrying out its role and vision, supports every national work carried out by the people of the State of Qatar, including artists and those interested in environmental affairs, to support and introduce the local environment. HE the Minister noted that this year's celebration of Qatar's Environment Day will see many events that target all segments of society.
