Ma'aden, Aluminum Bahrain to explore cooperation in various areas


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabian Mining Co., also known as Ma'aden, and Aluminum Bahrain, or Alba, have signed an agreement to explore ways to enhance their cooperation in various fields, including environmental, social, and governance standards. The deal was reached during a meeting between Ma'aden CEO Robert Wilt and his delegation, Alba Chairman Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa, and CEO Ali Al Baqali at Alba's office. The two companies discussed potential cooperation in upstream and supply-chain opportunities, and the possibility of strengthening their cooperation.

The executives of both companies expressed their commitment to a long-standing partnership and to working together to establish themselves as responsible aluminum producers. They noted that partnerships such as theirs contribute to making the Gulf Cooperation Council region a center for responsible primary smelting and high-grade metal in the industry. Ma'aden's CEO emphasized that both companies share a common goal of developing a regional aluminum powerhouse.
