(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Jeddah, February 02, 2023, SPA-- Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha, received in Jeddah today the Secretary General of King Salman International Complex for the Arabic Language (KSICAL), Dr. Abdullah Al-Washmi, and the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to OIC, Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Suhaibani.
The meeting dealt with ways to enhance cooperation between OIC and KSICAL, and joint work with various actors and partners in promoting the Arabic language in all international forums, and working together to enhance the identity and solidarity of the Islamic nation, as the Arabic language is the language of the Holy Quran, and an essential component of the Arab-Islamic culture. The two sides agreed to continue efforts to formulate a vision to implement programs and activities that contribute to achieving the common goals.
