Israeli Forces Demolish Palestinians' Homes In West Bank

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- The Israeli occupation forces carried out earlier on Wednesday a series of demolishing operations in the town of Anata, northeast of Jerusalem, and in the village of Al Duyuk, in the city of Ariha, in the West Bank.
Around 300 Israeli occupation police personnel stormed the town and demolished the home of Uday al-Tamimi, who was killed last October near the Ma'ale Adumim settlement, east of Jerusalem, the media reported.
The house is located in a residential building, and the occupation police demolished it manually after surrounding the building, it added.
Al-Tamimi carried out a shooting attack at the Shuafat military checkpoint, killing a soldier and injuring others, and later managed to escape.
He was later shot dead after trying to carry out another operation at the entrance to Ma'ale Adumim settlement on October 19, 2022.
The demolition of Al-Tamimi's house is a hideous crime and reflects the policy of collective punishment that violates all international and humanitarian laws and norms, Fatah movement said.
This criminal policy has proven its failure to conquer the Palestinian people and break the spark of steadfastness and confrontation of killing and destruction, an official at the movement stated.
Today, the occupation bulldozers demolished six houses west of the city of Ariha, claiming that they were built in areas under the control of the Israeli occupation.
The Israeli occupation later closed Al-Dyouk area and prevented citizens from approaching their homes.
The occupation authorities seek to empty the area of its owners and inhabitants for the sake of settlement expansion. (end)
