The spokesman emphasized that the units of Ukraine's Defense Forces are constantly practicing interaction. The territory close to the border is being mined, video surveillance and remote monitoring system is being strengthened, while drones are being employed for reconnaissance. Such measures take place along the entire borderline with Belarus, from Volyn to Chernihiv region.
'Ukraine is well aware that Russia is trying in every possible way to engage Belarus in an open war or may try to use this direction for a second invasion,' Demchenko emphasized.
As reported, the head of defense intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, said the threat of a new Russian invasion of Ukraine from the territory of Belarus remained low.
