Turkey’s daily electricity usage rises by 1.94 percent on Nov. 29


(MENAFN) Based on the official data released on Wednesday by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS), daily electricity usage in Turkey soared by 1.94 percent on Tuesday in comparison to the day before, standing at 882,624 megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS data, the nation's electricity consumption peaked at 42,187 megawatts per hours per hour at 12 p.m. regional time (0900 GMT) and fell to 29,290 megawatts per hours per hour at 5 a.m. regional time.

On Tuesday, 871,848 megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, a 1.74 percent rise from Monday.

Natural gas and lignite factories contributed by 25.3 percent and 14.3 percent of the total generation, correspondingly, whereas imported coal factories comprised by 27.5 percent of it.

The nation's electricity exports on Tuesday were 10,250 megawatts per hours, while its imports were 21,026 megawatts per hours.
