(MENAFN- Seven Media) Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 23 November 2022: Manchester City legend and Premier League winner Joleon Lescott believes young budding footballers are benefitting greatly from City Football Schools’ programme after attending a session in Abu Dhabi.
During his visit to the UAE, the 40-year-old former defender watched a group of young aspiring players during a recent City Football Schools training session, getting a closer look at the local talent. Following the session, he had nothing but praise for the coaching methods implemented by the club.
“It has been fantastic to return to City Football Schools in Abu Dhabi to catch up with everyone and see how they are progressing,” said Lescott, who won four trophies during his stint at Manchester City.
“What I love about it is the focus is on both improving as players and having plenty of fun and just enjoying football.”
He added: “The boys and girls have such a positive attitude with players now being coached in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and it’s something everyone at the club is rightly proud of.”
With locations in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, City Football Schools provides players of all abilities with the unique opportunity to learn from expert coaches who have all worked at Manchester City’s world-renowned Etihad Campus.
