TCCIMA holds meeting to discuss impact of internet restriction to businesses in Iran


(MENAFN) The 40th gathering of the Board of Representatives of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA) was hosted on Tuesday in which the officials who joined talked about numerous financial problems such as the effect of internet restriction on the actions of several businesses.

The gathering was joined by TCCIMA Chief Masoud Khansari on top of associates of the chamber’s board, as reported by the TCCIMA portal.

While giving a speech at the gathering, Khansari mentioned that the chamber has issued a letter to leader Raisi in this matter, which has been talked about to the Supreme National Security Council, as well as TCCIMA is following it up via many channels.

He also noted that the motto of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (which began on March 21), which is knowledge-based production as well as job establishment, mentioning: “this year has been named the year of knowledge-based production but unfortunately, with the measures taken regarding the internet restriction, not only knowledge-based and digital companies did not experience any growth and improvement, but they faced a very difficult situation.”

He continued: “Currently, internet restrictions and filtering have caused severe damage to small and large businesses, and the continuation of this condition can cause the destruction of a large part of such businesses.”
