Doha: Umm Salal beat Al Sadd 3-2 to register their third straight victory at the Ooredoo Cup yesterday.
At the Al Egla pitch 4, Sardor Rashidov (44th minute), Joao Teixiera (58th minute) and Ilyes Brimil (69th minute) scored for Umm Salal, while Hassan Ahmad (third minute) and Santi Cazorla (50th minute) did the scoring act for Al Sadd, who lost their first game in Group A.
In other match at Al Ersal pitch 2, Al Wakrah defeated reigning champions Al Sailiya 1-0, with Hamad Mansour scoring the winner off a penalty kick in the 64th minute.
He slotted home the rebound off Al Sailiya goalkeeper Abdrahman Mahamat after he blocked the kick taken by Ismail Mahmoud.
Meanwhile, at the Qatar University Pitch 4, Al Ahli got the better of Qatar SC by a 2-1 margin in third Group A match yesterday.
