Mobile Blood Donor Units To Conduct Donations Drives At Various Locations

Doha: As part of Doha Healthcare Week, Hamad Medical Corporation's Mobile Blood Donor Units will be visiting various locations. 

The mobile donor unit starting from tomorrow will be visiting at one location on each day. On September 29, the unit will be at Qatar Foundation Primary Health Care Centre from 9 am to 2 pm. Following that the donor unit will be at Bayt Al Diyafah Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City from 8am to 2pm on September 30, while on October 1, it will be visiting the Al Khor Mall main entrance (Gate 3) from 4 pm to 8 pm.

On October 2 it will be at two places Qatar Red Crescent Msheireb Galleria and at Al Wakra Health Centre Female Entrance from 9 am to 2 pm. 

On the last day, the donor unit will be at Sidra Medical VIP entrance near the Outpatient Clinic from 8 am to 2 pm. 

To be able to donate blood, a donor must be healthy, adult not less than 17 years of age, with no significant chronic illness or previous infections, with the body weight of not less than 50 kg and haemoglobin level of not less than 13g for male and 12.5g for female. On the day of the donation, the donor must be free of symptoms of fever and coughs or any other infection and they must have adequate hours of sleep.
