President: Ukraine's Transformation For EU Membership Continues Despite War

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The transformation of Ukraine for sake of obtaining full-fledged membership in the European Union continues despite the difficult conditions created by the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war.
'We quickly gained the status of a candidate for membership<…> We will not waste time at the next stage, before the start of negotiations on membership in the European Union. The further transformation of our state to be ready to become a full-fledged member of the European Union is taking place even now, in the difficult situation, in the conditions of full-scale war,' President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said at a briefing with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Zelensky thanked Rutte for supporting Ukraine on the European integration path.
As reported, on June 23, the Heads of State and Government of the European Union made a decision to grant Ukraine the EU candidate status.
