According to the Taliban officials, the event in 315 of Khair Khana neighborhood in northwestern Kabul, on Wednesday night, July 6, was an operation by the group's forces against a group of“criminals”.

Although, local sources in Kabul reported that there had been an explosion and armed skirmishes in Khair Khana area of Kabul, which was sparked by the launch of three rockets by armed men to a Taliban post.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban, however, wrote on his Twitter handle that“the operation against the Kharijites hideout ended with the death of two people and the capture of four others.”

Nonetheless, the spokesperson for the Taliban mentions nothing close to that, saying“weapons and other means of destruction were destroyed and obtained,” calling those in battle“Kharijites” and“professional criminals”.

Previously, media outlets also reported on the arrest of 60 people by Taliban forces in Khair Khana neighborhood in Kabul.
