Latest WhatsApp version will allow users to hide profile images, Last Seen from certain individuals


(MENAFN) WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has stated that it is adding additional privacy management options to its settings in order to preserve users' privacy online.

The firm said on the microblogging site that users can now choose who from their contact list may view their Profile Photo, About, and Last Seen status.

"The safety and security of you and your messages matter to us. We want you to know about the tools and features we have designed to help you stay safe while using WhatsApp," WhatsApp informed on its FAQ page.

WhatsApp stated that users can set their last seen, profile photo, about, or status to the following options — Everyone: All WhatsApp users will be able to see your last seen, profile photo, about, or status. Contact Information: Your last seen, profile photo, about, or status will only be shown to contacts in your address book.

With the exception of...: Except for those you omit, your last seen, profile photo, about, or status will be visible to your address book contacts.
