(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Nouakchott, June 10, 2022, SPA – Grand Mufti of Mauritania Sheikh Ahmed Al-Murabit Al-Shinqiti, has expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince for approving the organization of“ The Contest for the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah”, as an annual competition in Mauritania at the level of West African countries under the Kingdom's patronage, which will be implemented and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in coordination with its counterpart in Mauritania.
The Grand Mufti valued the Saudi Government's keenness on spreading the Quran and Sunnah throughout the world, and the approval of holding this annual competition in Mauritania, asking Allah the Almighty to protect the Kingdom, its rulers, and its people.
