Azeri Embassy Celebrates Independence Day In Amman

Amman, May 30 (Petra) -- Azerbaijan's Embassy in Amman on Sunday evening celebrated its country's Independence Day, which falls on May 28.
Azeri ambassador Eldar Salimov noted the strong Jordanian-Azeri relation and its progress in various domains.
He also indicated the development and growth of Azerbaijan since its independence, saying his country is progressing toward civilization with a policy based on respecting others and not interfering in their internal affairs.
In remarks during the ceremony, Minister of State Ibrahim Jazi underscored the 'distinguished relation' between the two countries, supported by the close relation of His Majesty King Abdullah II and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
He congratulated the leadership and people of Azerbaijan on the occasion and wished them more progress and prosperity.
