Qatar prepares to add around 5,000 hotel rooms before FIFA WC 2022


(MENAFN) Supporters and travelers approaching Qatar, for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, are going to have a lot of choices to stay in the nation.

Hotels in Qatar are estimated to increase around 5,000 rooms extra before the biggest sport event.

in line with a report issued by real estate consultancy firm Cushman & Wakefield Qatar with this extra adding, the amount of rooms in hotel and serviced apartments is estimated to rise to 45,000 before the world cup.

‘Q1 Real Estate Market Review’ stated in a report that “It is expected that 5,000 new hotel keys will be completed ahead of the FIFA World Cup in November. This new supply, coupled with existing hotel supply and serviced apartments, will deliver approximately 37,000 keys, or 45,000 rooms.”

The amount of hotel rooms at the end of 2021 was about 30,000, but The growth in the hospitality division is going to continue even after the world cup.

As mentioned in the report the whole supply of hotel rooms is anticipated to grasp 50,000 by the next 4 years.
