Iran ranks world’s 20th largest economy regardless of U.S. restrictions


(MENAFN) As IRNA announced on Sunday, the declared ranking has been built on the gross domestic product (GDP) for each capita attuned by purchasing power parity (PPP) last year.

In line with the worldwide association, the price of Iran's GDP per capita when attuned by PPP stood at USD1.436 trillion last year.

Based on the declared data, in spite of being exposed to harsh restrictions over the last few years Iran's economy is stated to be higher than 173 nations in the stated year.

Nations like Egypt, Thailand, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Argentina, South Africa, the UAE, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, Austria, Norway, Portugal, Greece, Finland, Oman, as well as Kuwait had lower economies in comparison with Iran last year.
