FM meets visiting dignitaries at Doha Forum

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met separately with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi; Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhtar Tileuberdi; Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu; Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra, and HE Prof Jl. Peres, on the sidelines of Doha Forum 2022.









HE Sheikh Mohamed also met with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister G L Peiris ; Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon; Singaporean Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Education and Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman; Libyan Foreign Minister Najla al-Manqoush; GCC Secretary-General Dr Nayef Falah Mubarak al-Hajraf; High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell; US Presidential Special Envoy for Climate John Kerry; US Special Envoy for Iran Robert Malley; High Representative for the UN Alliance of Civilisations Miguel Moratinos; and Senior Vice-President of Exxon Mobil Neil Chapman. The meetings reviewed aspects of bilateral co-operation, besides issues of common concern.











The 20th edition of Doha Forum kicked off on Saturday under the theme 'Transforming for a New Era' with the aim of launching dialogue and debate on the critical challenges facing the world, promoting the exchange of ideas, policymaking, and providing applicable recommendations.
The two-day forum, which is held in-person for the first time since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, is the largest in its history, and brings together a number of heads of state and government, politicians, parliamentarians, thinkers and media representatives, making the Forum a real opportunity for dialogue between various sectors to reach viable solutions.
