Qatar - QBIC to organise 'Hackathon' competition next March

Doha: Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC), affiliated to Qatar Development Bank, will organise on March 24 and 26 Hackathon competition for male and female entrepreneurs in Qatar.

The competition is held with - Ooredoo (an incubation partner), and focuses on four topics, namely digital transformation, sports technology, manufacturing industries, and digital solutions for Qatar's economic legacy after 2022.

Qatar Business Incubation Center has set March 17 as a deadline for accepting applications for participation in the competition, which will be held in a way that combines online participation and physical attendance, whereby each winning team in its four topics will receive a financial prize of QR 25,000 to develop their idea.

The winning teams can also get the opportunity to join the programs of Qatar Business Incubation Center with access to support and investment services amounting to QR 250,000 if they meet the conditions for that, including training and mentoring sessions, getting acquainted with the most prominent local and international trainers, expanding network of partners and mentors, and reaching investors to verify their business ideas in the labor market.
