AMMAN — Hamda Zyoud, 80, from Zarqa, has fondly recalled the recent visit of HRH crown prince Hussein to her house after she invited His Royal Highness in a recorded video clip to break bread with her at her house.

During a talk with the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Zyoud said that during their 40-minute meeting, she recalled her life in the village, while her sons talked about their military service in the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab army (JAF).

She indicated that His Royal Highness had expressed his keenness to visit her after watching the video clip, but the circumstances imposed by the spread of the coronavirus had prevented his attendance.

Her husband, Hajj Abu Muhammad, told Petra that King Abdullah I visited them when they were travelling east of Zarqa and resided there in the 1930s.

He said that the Crown Prince's visit overwhelmed his family with happiness.

He added that his three sons are JAF retirees, noting that Mohammad, the eldest son, had served with His Majesty King Abdullah in the Special Forces.
