US stock exchanges remain to record drops

(MENAFN) Main US stock indexes closed Wednesday’s session with low figures as stockholders kept being concerned regarding pending interest rate increases, in spite of some strong firm revenues outcomes.

The Nasdaq rebounded after dropping to over 10 percent under its record ending high in November in a volatile exchanging session, closing down 166.64 points, or 1.15 percent, at 14,340.

A modification happens when an index ends 10 percent or above under its highest record. In the meantime, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down by 0.96 percent or 339.82 points at 35,028. The S&P 500 dropped 44.35 points, or 0.97 percent, to end at 4,532.

Treasury yields gave up some increases, with the benchmark 10-year yield receding after getting close to 1.9 percent a day earlier, its highest record since the opening month of 2020.
