Qatar - MoPH, partners celebrate QND

The Ministry of Public health (MoPH), Hamad Medical Corporation and Primary health care Corporation organised a celebration yesterday on the occasion of Qatar National Day, at Hamad bin Khalifa Medical City. HE the Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari and several officials and employees of the health sector, participated in the flag-raising ceremony. The Qatari armed forces music band played the national anthem and some military music pieces. HE Dr al-Kuwari extended congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the National Day to His Highness the Amir sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and the Qatari people.
HE the Minister also congratulated health workers on this occasion and lauded their great efforts, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, pointing out that these efforts, which contributed to the protection of public health, are highly appreciated by all the people of Qatar. The MoPH headquarters and several health facilities were decorated with the flags of Qatar and this year's National Day slogan 'Ancestral Meadows: A Matter of Trust'.
Ali al-Khater, chairman of the Supreme Communications' Committee for Healthcare at the MoPH, said“We, the health sector, are glad to join the people of Qatar in celebrating the National Day. In compliance with Covid-19 precautionary measures, we made sure to keep our celebration as simple, yet reflected the depth of our love and pride in our precious country and appreciation of the achievements in all fields.
The MoPH also organised several contests for its employees, including the best patriotic poem; video contest for employees' children on the best patriotic statement and support for the health sector; and contests on Qatar's heritage, culture, history and environment.
