(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Deputy Speaker of Shura Council H E Dr Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti met with a student dele-gation from the Eastwest European Institute (EWEI) headed by Chiara Di Nola.
Her Excellency welcomed the guests and explained to them the legislative and oversight role of the Shura Council in accordance with the provisions of the Qatari Constitution and Shura Council Law No. 7 of 2021.
The delegation praised the success of Qatar's democratic process through the holding of the first legislative elections for the Shura Council, wishing the council success in performing its duties for the good and interest of the Qatari people.
The meeting was attended by H E Khalid bin Ghanem Al Ali Al Maadeed, H E Abdullah bin Nasser bin Turki Al Subaey, and H E Issa bin Ahmed Al Nasr, members of the council.
