Saudi - GCC Secretary-General strongly condemns terrorist Houthi militia storming of U.S. Embassy in Sanaa


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, November 24, 2021, SPA -- The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist Houthi militia's storming of the United States Embassy in Sanaa, Republic of Yemen, and the detention of a number of the embassy's employees.
He stressed that this criminal act carried out by the Houthi militia is a flagrant violation of international norms and laws.
He also called for the immediate release of all detainees and ensuring their safety.
He stressed the importance of the international community taking a firm stance against the violations committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in Yemen, and concerted efforts to end the Yemeni crisis through a comprehensive political solution in accordance with the references represented in the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive National Dialogue Conference, and Security Council resolution 2216.
