AIIB encourages China’s decision to end constructing energy plants abroad

(MENAFN) The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has reported that it is happy about China's declaration to amplify hold up for green and low-carbon power in other developing countries and end constructing fresh coal-fired ventures abroad.

Jin Liqun, president of the AIIB reported, "This is a bold and consequential step for China, and for the rest of the world. It is also a clear signal of the country's concrete commitment to global efforts to address one of the most pressing issues of our time."

The global public should go on with functioning collectively to find a middle ground for the targets of the Paris Agreement with a sense of hurry, Jin stated.

He further noted, "AIIB is committed to working with China and all of our members in their efforts to implement their Paris commitments to put our world on a path to a sustainable future."
