Turkey rejects parliamentary polls in Russia

(MENAFN) Turkey abandoned the parliamentary polls organized in Crimea that Russia unlawfully took over from Ukraine in 2014.

According to Tanju Bilgic, spokesperson for the Turkish Foreign Ministry “Turkey maintains its support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and does not recognize the unlawful annexation of Crimea."

He continued by saying that the State Duma polls organized in Crimea on September 17-19 have “no legal validity for Turkey.”

Moreover, Ukrainian’s government protests Russia's polls in Crimea as it breaks global rule.
