Daily report on Covid-19 death toll, infections in East Asian nations


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 (KUNA) -- Malaysia registered on Monday 69 Coronavirus (Covid-19) deaths, while 4,611 infections were detected.
The death toll climbed to 4,477 in the country, whereas the total infections hit 701,019, Malaysian Ministry of Health added in a statement.
Meanwhile, Indonesia registered 294 Covid-19 deaths and 14,536 infections.
The pandemic death toll reached 54,956 cases, with total infections settling at 2,004,445, the Indonesian Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Elsewhere, Thailand registered 29 Covid-19 deaths and 3,175 infections.
The death toll reached 1,658, with 221,306 total infections, the Thai Ministry of Health reported.
In the Philippines, total 128 deaths were registered, 5,249 cases were recorded.
The pandemic infections toll reached 1,364,239 and deaths 23,749, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
In Cambodia, Covid-19 caused the death of 10 people, while infecting 735 others.
Pandemic death toll reached 441 and a total of 43,446 people were infected, the Cambodian Ministry of Health.
In Vietnam, one death case was registered, while 137 infections were witnessed.
The pandemic death toll stabilized at 67, with total of infections settling at 13,348, the Ministry of Health said in a statement. (end)
