Libya, Turkey talk about security collaboration


(MENAFN) On Saturday, Jun. 12 Libya’s President of the Presidency Council Mohamed Menfi convened with a senior Turkish delegation with whom he talked about security collaboration between both nations.

A report released by the Presidency Council said that the visit of the Turkish delegation, comprising Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu and Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, comes after a string of shared previous ones between Libya and Turkey this year that began with Menfi's visit to Turkey during March.

According to the report, in the assembly, Menfi emphasized the depth of the historical ties between both nations and underlined the significance of boosting collaboration and improving bilateral ties between both countries.

It further said that the Turkish delegation highlighted the continuance of collaboration in training security and police institutions, demining, and fighting illicit immigration and arranged crime.
