Nigerian troops save 13 abducted victims in Kaduna


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, May. 5 an official stated that Nigerian troops have saved 13 abducted people in the northwestern state of Kaduna after a violent gun fight.

A report from the military to the state administration corroborated the saving of 13 abducted people from the shooters in the Chikun local administration area of the state, noted Samuel Aruwan, commissioner for the state's internal security and home affairs.

He stated that the 13 victims from Dutse travelled to work at a farm based around Bakin Kasuwa in the Chikun local administration area, and "were attacked by the bandits in the process."

Troops on receiving credible intelligence of the kidnapping followed the bandits to a forest in the locale and engaged them in a gun fight, he stated. They saved all the victims after beating the kidnappers.
