Morocco confirms 27 virus-induced deaths, 1,171 cases


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RABAT, Jan 2 (KUNA) -- The Moroccan Ministry of Health said Saturday that 27 more people died from the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and 1,171 others contracted the illness over the past 24 hours.
The figures pushed the overall tally to 7,452 deaths and 442,141 infections.
The recoveries surged by 2,520 to 412,168, the ministry said in its daily update, putting hospitalizations at 22,521, including 1,104 ICU occupants. (end)
