Kuwait- Swiss confirms 4,312 new COVID-19 cases, toll infections surpasses 318,000

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GENEVA, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- Swiss Authorities on Friday recorded 4,312 new cases of COVID-19 which is a peak in the daily logging rate since June.
A statement at the headquarters in Bern by the Health Ministry's Authorities revealed that in addition to today's recorded cases, more than 318,000 have been exposed to the virus to date, while deaths total 4,250 with 141 recently logged on Thursday.
As of mid-November 1,868 patients have received treatment at hospitals, and more than 2.5 million tests have been done on those revealing symptoms of the virus.
The Authorities have also imposed self-isolation on around 33,000 till the symptoms vanish, in addition to 38,000 others who have been in contact with those revealing the symptoms.
Home self-isolation on 299 recent travelers returning from outside the country has been required as a precautionary measure.
Some of the areas in Switzerland have begun firmly supervising event participants and imposing necessary steps of social distancing like requiring the wearing of masks in public.
The Swiss Health Authorities also voiced anticipatory concerns on Health facilities, especially ER rooms, as the number of patients showing up at hospitals has been increasing, which could thereby affect their ability in providing COVID-19 tests on a daily basis. (end)
