Gun fight in Afghan Kunduz province leaves 7 dead

Mohammad Gul, a security officer, said that a gun clash that took place in the district of Khan Abad in the province of Kunduz in Afghanistan on Friday hasresulted in the death of five militants.

The official said that militants have launched an attack on a security checkpoint in the area of Qala-e-Kohan in the district in the monring and pro government militamen retaliated the attack which resulted in the death of five insurgents.

Two of the pro government militamen have also been killed in the clash that remained for two hours, the official said.

The then added that two more activists and two more militiamen have been injured in the attack, Taliban has not made any comments as of yet regarding the incident.
